After the initial warnings to India of December 2012 and January 2013.LFC has once again asked that authorities release six aircraft held “hostage” by a bureaucratic dispute after struggling Kingfisher Airlines failed to pay for them. This follows the Delhi High Court ruling last month that ILFC could have access to its aircraft to ensure they can be refurbished and maintained. Right now, the A320 family aircraft remain idle in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. Aviation Capital Group and Germany’s DVB Bank have also had problems following the collapse of Kingfisher.
