According to a statement in the European Commission’s website, International Airlines Group (IAG) has offered “remedies” in connection with its proposed takeover of Aer Lingus. The competition authorities plan to rule on whether the bid is allowed under EU law on July 15. IAG and the EC have not elaborated on what concessions have been offered but it could cover areas such as IAG relinquishing certain airport slots to rivals.
