Germanwings co-pilot practiced fatal descent

Andreas Lubitz, the co-pilot of the Germanwings plane he is suspected of deliberately crashing into the French Alps in March, killing all 150 people on board, is reported to have practiced the same descent on the previous flight, according to German newspaper Bild.

The co-pilot again apparently locked the captain out of the cockpit and veered the plane into an early descent on a flight from Barcelona to Duesseldorf on March 24 – the same day as the fatal crash. The investigators report shows a controlled descent that lasted for minutes and for which there was no aeronautical justification, reports Bild.
