EU BANS LAM MOZAMBIQUE AIRLINES AND AIR MADAGASCAR

The European Union has banned Mozambique carriers, LAM Mozambique Airlines and Air Madagascar, from flying to its airports due to “significant safety deficiencies”. In an update to its blacklist, the European Commission has removed four all-cargo Indonesian air carriers—Cardig Air, Republic Express, Asia Link and Air Maleo—from the list thanks to “solid enforcement action taken by the Indonesian authorities to ensure that their operations are safe.” Ukrainian airline UMAir has also been allowed off the list after showing an improved performance.
