The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has authorized six more routes connecting the Chinese mainland cities with Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Hainan Airlines launched a thrice-weekly flight between Haikou and Macau from August 23, with Shenzhen Airlines operating thrice-weekly Harbin-Yantai-Hong Kong service from August 20. China Eastern Airlines thrice-weekly Xining-Xi’an-Hong Kong service was approved and will commence on October 25. China Airlines two cargo services from Taoyuan to Zhengzhou and Nanjing once a week have been approved to start in late October, with one passenger service between Kaohsiung and Changzhou already launched twice a week on September 16.
