bmi regional has become the first UK airline to successfully complete the 2012 European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) cycle. This means that the airline is among the first of over 11,000 airlines, power stations, industrial plants and in 31 countries to adhere to the ‘cap and trade’ method of carbon emissions reduction, demonstrating the airline’s commitment to operating its services in the most environmentally-friendly manner possible.
