Airways New Zealand has confirmed new prices for its air traffic management services to airlines, light aircraft and general aviation operators. Following industry consultation, Airways will decrease prices for airlines by 4.7% over the three years of the pricing period. The majority of the decrease will be realised in the first year with a 9.8% reduction. This is a substantial decrease from the consultation proposal that proposed to increase fees by 3.6% over the three years. Airways chief executive Ed Sims says the new pricing recognises a robust consultation process and the importance of the aviation industry to New Zealand
