Airbus insider trading case collapses

The Paris Criminal Court has dropped all charges against a number of individual and corporate defendants in the case of alleged insider trading at EADS (Airbus) which relates to events that took place in 2006 when a large batch of shares were offloaded by several entities and individuals just before the A380 delay was announced and EADS shares tanked by over 25% – Amazing luck for those involved some might say, especially for those who’s shares were trading through other family members. The trial itself began last year, but was immediately brought to a halt as the defence sought to have the case dismissed because the defendants had already been found innocent of any wrong doing by the AMF (French stock market regulatory body) in 2009.
