Executive Jet Support (EJS) has completed the acquisition of an Airbus A330 from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, as the company continues to grow its aircraft teardown and parts supply operations.

The CF6-80-powered aircraft will be disassembled to provide components for airlines, maintenance providers and parts traders, with EJS saying the addition will enhance availability of high-quality material across its global customer base. The deal follows a series of recent acquisitions aimed at strengthening the company’s Airbus and regional jet programmes.

The latest transaction builds on an earlier move announced on April 8, when EJS announced the purchase of two Airbus A340-600 aircraft from Germany-based USC GmbH. Those aircraft are scheduled for teardown in Bydgoszcz, Poland, where they will supply a broad inventory of rotables and structural components to the aftermarket.

EJS said the acquisitions reflect its strategy to expand its Airbus platform capabilities and support the growing demand for used serviceable material as airlines and MRO providers face ongoing supply chain constraints.
