Clyde & Co relocates Jahnavi Ramachandran to Singapore office; hires Bushra Abu-Tayeh as partner

Clyde & Co partner Jahnavi Ramachandran has relocated to the firm's Singapore office to boost its Asia Pacific aviation practice.

“There are tremendous opportunities as our clients capitalise on the expanding aviation markets across the region, including in emerging economies,” said Ramachandran.

“The Asia Pacific aviation market is going to continue to unlock significant potential over the next few years, and as a firm we are in a prime position to service the work of global and local clients as they take advantage of this market growth,” said Clyde & Co partner and global head of aviation Kevin Sutherland.

Additionally, the firm has hired Bushra Abu-Tayeh as partner in its aviation group. She will be based in the Dubai office.

Abu-Tayeh joins the firm after nearly 14 years at Al Tamimi & Company where she was senior counsel for the firm's aviation practice.

Sutherland said: "The regional aviation market continues to see strong underlying growth driven by fleet expansion, infrastructure investment and increasing connectivity, but amid ongoing regional tensions, it is more important than ever that we continue to strengthen our on-the-ground capabilities.

“Bushra's leadership and deep experience in aviation law will be instrumental as we support clients with the local knowledge required to navigate an increasingly complex and evolving landscape.”
