Days after firing its entire treasury team alongside more than 200 other members of staff with alleged links to the Fethullah Gulen movement as reported earlier this week (link), Turkish Airlines has announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer (CFO). Former CFO Coskun Kilic will be replaced by Murat Seker, head of investor relations and financial institutions at state-owned TC Ziraat Bankasi. Kilic’s dismissal and that of the entire finance team has not been explained by the company but it was announced at the same time as the dismissal of 211 staff.
