Lufthansa Group announced yesterday that Board Member and Executive VP Marketing and Sales Thierry Antinori will resign Thursday and will not be assuming the position of Chairman and CEO of Austrian Airlines as originally planned. Antinori, who is only 49, was to take up his post at Austrian Airlines from Friday 1st April. He joined LH in August 1997 as an area manager for Western and Southern Europe. The news comes as a shock to Lufthansa.
