Southern to leave Virgin Atlantic

  Julie Southern, Virgin Atlantic’s chief commercial officer, will leave the airline next month. Southern had been in line for the chief executive role to replace Steve Ridgeway but lost out to Craig Kreeger, ex-American Airlines executive.   Virgin said in a statement that Southern “is moving on to pursue new challenges” and that “she will remain a close friend of the airline and we wish her well”.
