PwC Ireland has announced new senior appointments to its Aviation Finance Advisory Services (AFAS) practice.  Timothy Loy, AFAS Director, has over 35 years experience specialising in transportation finance and Stephanie Sanford, AFAS Director, has over 20 years experience in commercial aviation specialising in aircraft finance/leasing.  Bryson Monteleone is also working with the  PwC Aviation Finance team as a senior advisor.  Bryson brings over 20 years experience in the commercial aviation industry specialising in aircraft appraisal and valuations.

PwC Ireland’s AFAS practice, part of its Aviation Finance practice, was launched in January 2018 to further develop PwC Ireland’s offering within the aviation finance and aircraft leasing industry.

Speaking at the announcement, Rachel Frye, PwC Ireland AFAS Leader, said: “Longer term forecasts indicate that over 40,000 new aircraft deliveries will double the world’s jet airliner fleet by 2036, with financing required for US$4.2 trillion of aircraft list prices.  These highly experienced aviation finance specialists boost PwC Ireland’s 360° unique service capability to deliver on a market need and to continue to support this important growth industry. Combining the depth and breadth of our subject matter experts together with the extensive PwC global network, we are able to support the aviation industry at all levels from a strategic, financial, operational and technical perspective.”

“Heightened competition and continued global appeal in this sector is putting greater pressure on industry stakeholders to meet the challenges of market growth and sustainability.  Our team brings with them unparalleled global, high level relationships spanning the aviation industry that further bolster the firm’s aviation finance advisory capabilities in an era of unprecedented industry expansion.”

PwC Ireland’s Aviation Finance practice continues to see significant revenue growth.  These strategic appointments bring PwC Ireland’s Aviation Finance team to over 100 industry experts across a broad range of specialisms.

Yvonne Thompson, Aviation Finance Leader, PwC Ireland and adviser to the council of Aircraft Leasing Ireland, said:  “As a full service consultancy advising across advisory, assurance and tax, we are in the unique position to help aviation leaders around the world develop aviation finance strategies that maximise returns on investment.  This team, with the experience they bring on financing, transactional and operational issues from within the aircraft industry, strengthen our globally recognised market leading practice to deliver value to players across the international aviation finance industry, whether they are operators, investors or financiers. We are delighted to have them on board, joining Rachel and the rest of our wider aviation finance team.”
