Oman Air strengthens UK commercial team with two new appointments

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has announced two new appointments to its UK team.

Nick Beauchamp has been appointed as the new sales executive and his role will contribute towards growing Oman Air’s UK sales revenue and growing its portfolio of clients.  He will be promoting Oman Air’s brand, products and services through primary distribution channels and developing and account managing commercial agreements with a portfolio of top national accounts and global agencies.

Beauchamp joins Oman Air from Icelandair where he worked for nearly two years as account manager UK & Ireland. He has more than ten years’ experience in tour operator and airline industries working in fare & business analysis before moving to the commercial side. Beauchamp has worked at First Choice Holidays, TUI, as well as Air New Zealand.

Kamani Hewagama joins as office coordinator and succeeds Lorraine Burns, who recently retired. Hewagama has a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years in the airline industry.  She has previously worked at Sri Lankan Airlines and Emirates in roles as R&T agent, sales coordination supervisor, senior ticket desk agent & team leader as well as senior lounge agent.

Kelpesh Patel Interim Country Manager, UK & Ireland, Oman Air, said: “We are delighted to announce these new appointments, which will enable us to strengthen our relationships with agents and provide them with greater support. Nick and Kamani both have extensive experience within the aviation industry and we look forward to working with them on building the business at Oman Air.”
