New VP sales for Virgin Atlantic Cargo’s thriving Asia pacific region

Virgin Atlantic Cargo has appointed Neil Vernon as the new Regional Vice President Sales for its thriving Asia Pacific region.

Neil spent 13 years as part of the bmi cargo team and has gained a wealth of experience in the European, Middle Eastern, African and South Asian cargo markets. At Virgin Atlantic Cargo, he is based in Hong Kong and reports to Nick Jones, Head of Sales, and is responsible for revenue for the entire Asia Pacific region.

Virgin Atlantic’s performance in Asia Pacific in 2013 has been boosted by the successful relaunch of flight operations from Mumbai and the continuing growth of its joint venture with Virgin Australia.

Neil was Regional Manager, Middle East and Africa at bmi cargo prior to joining Virgin Atlantic and was responsible for overall sales and operational activity. At bmi he held a variety of positions including UK Account Manager, Business Development Manager and Commercial Manager for Europe and Asia.
