The chief executive of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk, Emirsyah Satar, has resigned as expected. He indicated some months ago that he would step down after helping to  repair the flag carrier’s image and restructure its operations over a decade. A new CEO will be decided upon at a shareholder meeting on Friday.
