Frontier Airlines appoints VP marketing

Frontier Airlines has appointed Tyri Squyres as vice president of marketing.

Squyres comes with 16 years in the travel and aviation sector, specifically with “experience in developing brand identity and growth and expansion of products and services,” according to a company release.

“Tyri’s experience in the ultra-low-cost airline and travel industry is impressive, especially her experience in product development and strategic brand identity development. I look forward to having Tyri join our team and I’m happy to welcome her to Frontier,” said David Siegel, Frontier’s CEO, in a news release.

Most recently, Squyres was director of marketing for a European start-up, low-cost airline, Volotea Airlines. She previously served as vice president of marketing and sales at ultra-low-cost airline Allegiant Air and the owner of Uplift Marketing, LLC, a communications consulting agency for travel-related ancillary product solutions.

“I’m delighted to join the Frontier Airlines team,” Squyres said in a statement. “Low-cost air service empowers people – to see new places, to reconnect with loved ones and to foster new business. I’m gratified to be part of the leadership team who will drive many exciting changes at Frontier that will help people travel more with an affordable and simple air product.
