Delta Air Lines has named a new Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, effective July 13. He will replace Richard “Ben” Hirst who will retire in February 2016. Peter Carter, named to the position, will report to Delta’s CEO Richard Anderson. He joins the airline from the international law firm of Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis where he served as chairman of the board and as a trial partner.
