Several executives have announced their departures from American Airlines. Bob Reding, vice president in charge of operations, planning, maintenance and airport services, and Mark Burdette, 63, vice president of employee relations, will both retire at the end of the year, while Monte Ford, chief information officer, has resigned. Reding’s position will not be filled but James Ream will be promoted to senior vice president of operations to assume some of his duties. Tom Del Valle, senior vice president of airport services, who reported to Reding, will now report directly to CEO Tom Horton.
