Wizzair to build new hangar at Budapest Airport

LCC Wizzair has signed a lease deal over the construction of a hangarage facility at its base in Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc airport.

The new hangar will cover 2,000 square metres and will be large enough to accommodate the A321neo fleet that Wizzair expects to receive over the next several years.

Budapest Airport has invested over €3 million in the project.

Jost Lammers, CEO of Budapest Airport, said: “We are very proud to have Wizz Air as our airline partner at Budapest Airport and we highly value the airline’s growth potential in the Hungarian market.”
