TAP M&E and AFI KLM E&M expand collaboration

TAP Maintenance & Engineering and AFI KLM E&M recently renewed and expanded their mutual confidence to their respective services. The two partners adjusted the perimeter of their collaboration, which now covers the repair support for A330-340 components and support of APU equipping TAP Portugal’s fleet of A330/A340 to be performed by AFI KLM E&M. Also, within the frame of the partnership between TAP M&E and AFI KLM E&M, TAP M&E will provide heavy maintenance services for the A330 and A340 of Air France and KLM fleets.

Carlos Ruivo, Vice-President Marketing & Sales from TAP Maintenance & Engineering, said: “Our two MRO’s have been working together for many years now and we have complete confidence in AFI KLM E&M’s ability to take our needs into account and deliver top quality maintenance services in terms of cost and quality that complement our MRO business activities. On the other hand we are delighted for the trust that AFI KLM E&M deposits in TAP M&E airframe work quality and efficiency which allowed putting our win-win relationship on a long-term.”

AFI KLM E&M will carry out repair works – as well as spare parts standard exchange or leasing if necessary – of components for which TAP M&E does not perform inhouse.

Fabrice Defrance, AFI KLM E&M Senior VP Commercial, said: “TAP M&E has been enjoying our responsiveness and adaptivess for now some long time and today confirms its decision to get some significant AFI KLM E&M services; as an airline MRO, we have also enjoyed in the past the quality of the airframe services that TAP M&E offered and we are quite satisfied to extend such services with this strong mutual agreement”

Romain Helmer, EPCOR managing director, added: “We are very delighted to welcome TAP M&E as our new customer. We will strive to be worthy of the trust they have placed in us by being an adaptive and reliable partner for A330/A340 APU Maintenance
