Surinam Airways signs 737NG component support deal with AFI KLM E&M

AFI KLM E&M has announced the signing of a component support contract covering the Boeing 737-700 fleet of the Republic of Surinam’s flag carrier. The contract covers the two aircraft currently operated by Surinam Airways, along with a third, scheduled to join the carrier’s fleet in 2020. It covers repairs, pool access and supply of a Main Base Kit (MBK), delivered under the 737NG Component Services Program (CSP) jointly operated by AFI KLM E&M and Boeing.

Gerard Lau, Surinam Airways CEO, said: “The CSP program, which combines the know-how and exacting standards of a reputed MRO, the quality of whose services is well-known to us, and a major aircraft maker, is a guarantee of reliable support and high quality. We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with AFI KLM E&M, a privileged partner for Surinam Airways, as we go forward with our fleet renewal program.”

Fabrice Defrance, Senior Vice President Commercial AFI KLM E&M added: “Surinam Airways is a long-standing customer of AFI KLM E&M, and we are overjoyed to be able to support them during the renewal of their fleet by delivering the best possible support for their 737NGs.”
