Spairliners enters into EJET MRO agreement with Barfield

Spairliners has entered into a long-term agreement with Barfield to provide component repairs to support its Embraer E-Jet fleet.

The agreement, effective immediately, comprises in-house repair services of Line Replaceable Units currently performed by Spairliners’ MRO shareholders AFI KLM E&M as well as Lufthansa Technik.

Barfield, a subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance in the Americas, will serve as the newest addition to Spairliners MRO portfolio.

Hervé Page, Barfield Chief Executive Officer, commented: “This agreement allows Barfield to establish a new partnership with Spairliners to support their Embraer E-Jet fleet. Our main objective is to provide them with the best customer service, a dependable repair quality, and the most effective engineering support that will further showcase our competitiveness in the Americas.”

Thies Moeller, CEO of Spairliners, added. “We are pleased that Barfield will perform repair and overhaul services for our contracted Embraer E-Jet fleet. Moreover, Barfield is our first MRO in the Americas, and we are confident that this collaboration will further enhance Spairliners global footprint for the E-Jet component support and integrated services.”
