Silk Way Technics, the maintenance division of Azerbaijan carrier Silk Way Airlines has announced it is planning to build a new maintenance hangar at Baku International Airport. The hanger will be used to provide base and heavy maintenance services up to D checks for Boeing, Airbus and ATR aircraft. Lufthansa Consulting is assisting SWT on the project. SWT provides maintenance services to airlines operating in Azerbaijan, including Azerbaijan Airlines, but due to this expansion, it is currently hiring specialists to boost the scope of maintenance services it can offer.
