Qantas A380-800 diverts due to mechanical issue

A Qantas A380-800 (registration VH-OQI) en route to Los Angeles from Melbourne diverted to land at Sydney shortly after takeoff from Melbourne, dumping fuel on the way. The airline has reported a mechanical issue – passengers reported that there was a problem the air conditioning systems and the APU. The aircraft was able to depart Sydney after about 7 hours on the ground.
