MTU Maintenance is proud to announce that it has signed an exclusive eight-year maintenance agreement with Maldivian. The engines contracted power Maldivian’s Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft which serve a growing number of destinations within Asia. MTU Maintenance will perform the engine overhaul at its Chinese location in Zhuhai.

Government-owned Maldivian is the flag carrier of the Maldives. After its rebranding from Is-land Aviation Services in 2008, Maldivian commenced its first regional operations with a flight to Trivandrum, India. In 2012, the airline added two more destinations to its regional network – Chennai (India) and Dhaka (Bangladesh). Chongqing (China) followed a year later. Today, the carrier has expanded its destinations to the People’s Republic to include flights to Wuhan, Xian, Nanjing and Changsha as well.
