MAS signs two new support contracts

Malaysia Airlines Engineering & Maintenance (MAE), the wholly owned Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and two Engineering Services Agreements with three airlines at the 11th Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2011.

MAE will provides Malaysia Airlines’ subsidiary, MASwings, with enhanced total fleet technical management support for MASwings’ ATR72 aircraft flight operations in Sabah and Sarawak.

This is a follow up to the existing total fleet technical management support by MAE to MASwings since 2007.

MAE also signed a second agreement with Virgin Australia to provide end-of-lease maintenance of the carrier’s 737-700 and 737-800 aircraft until end December 2012.
