Icelandair reaches TrueChoice Transitions agreement with GE on CF6 engines

Icelandair has signed a TrueChoiceTM Transitions agreement with GE Aviation for three overhauls of its CF6-80C2 engines powering its Boeing 767 aircraft, as well as an engine lease.

“We are pleased to have come to this CF6-80C2 maintenance agreement with GE and look forward to working with them,” said Unnar Sumarlidason, Engineering manager, Icelandair. “We trust them to deliver the excellence we expect from our engine maintenance provider.

“We’re pleased to work with Icelandair to create a TrueChoice Transitions agreement that will keep its engines operating at peak performance,” said Kevin McAllister, president and chief executive officer of GE Aviation’s Services organization.
