Airbus and SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) have completed the incorporation in Singapore of their new joint venture maintenance and overhaul company, first announced earlier this year at the Singapore Airshow. Having received all necessary approvals from competition authorities, the new company will be named Heavy Maintenance Singapore Services Pte Ltd (HMS Services) and will begin operation in December. SIAEC holds a 65% equity stake in HMS Services with Airbus holding 35%.
