The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has re-certified the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) status at StandardAero’s Springfield, Ill. Facility (SPI). The re-certification is the result of a mandatory audit by the FAA earlier this year conducted by the FAA’s Chicago Aircraft Certification Office. The audit found the Springfield facility to have “no findings” and re-certified the ODA for an additional three years. “This is a very significant event in two ways,” said Scott Taylor, senior vice president, Business Aviation, StandardAero. “Not only do we retain our STC ODA authorization which allows us to deliver considerably shorter STC
