Eastern Airlines Technic granted FAA certificate

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has certified Eastern Airlines Technic, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines, as an official repair station, which allows the company to provide MRO service for US-registered aircraft. As the largest base airline in both Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region, China Eastern has acquired repair station approvals from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). Eastern Airlines Technic owns 16 maintenance units, 269 domestic and international stations, over 4,000 licensed aircraft maintenance engineers and more than 2,000 aircraft release staff.
