Boeing selects Monarch Aircraft Engineering to provide Goldcare to a Middle Eastern customer

Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL), the independent aircraft maintenance provider and division of The Monarch Group, has been selected by Boeing to provide GoldCare airframe maintenance support to a Middle Eastern customer’s Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner operation at Abu Dhabi.

This is the fourth Boeing 787 Dreamliner contract for MAEL, whose highly experienced engineering team will shortly introduce support services for the new customer, having successfully added the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to its existing UAE General Civil Aviation Authority maintenance approval.

Ian Bartholomew, Commercial Director of MAEL, said:  “We are delighted to further develop our strategic partnership with Boeing and support its customers right across the globe. We look forward to extending our presence in the Middle East as we begin our newest role.”

He added: “MAEL is proud of being one of just three Boeing approved GoldCare MROs in the world and this appointment underpins a continued expansion of our business.”

Monarch Aircraft Engineering was named MRO of the year in 2013 by the industry at the Aviation 100 Awards and is one of the leading MROs for blue-chip customers in the EMEA region. Its UK-based training centre, Monarch Aircraft Engineering Training Academy (MAETA) has extensive capability to deliver full EASA Part-147 B1 & B2 approved type training for a variety of aircraft including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner; it is one of only eight independent Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisations worldwide accredited to provide training for this aircraft type.
