Another Flybe Q400 aircraft has lost an engine access door on take-off from Southampton airport just two months after a similar incident happen in Jersey. The access door fell off the Q400 aircraft’s right-hand engine and struck and damaged the leading edge of the wing. The aircraft returned to the airport safely. The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch confirmed the door had not been fully latched following unscheduled overnight maintenance.
