Despite reassurances from the CAA and the UK Department for Transport, Reduced Mobility Rights, an action group, noted that the UK Department for Transport draft of the Civil Aviation Bill fails to comply with EU Regulation 1107/2006, Article 16, leaving disabled passengers without legal protection and the United Kingdom. As a result, Reduced Mobility Rights claims, EU 1107/2006 is unenforceable in a UK civil court of law, leaving disabled passengers arriving or departing from the UK without legal protection against degradation and discrimination.
