Virgin Blue has committed to lease 18 ATR 72s as part of its regional network expansion. The aircraft will replace the current Embraer 170s. The first ATR 72s will arrive this summer. They will be wet leased from Skywest Airlines under a previously-announced agreement to cooperate on a regional network.
