Air India is hoping equity provided by the government and the arrival of 27 Boeing 787 in October will help the troubled airline back to growth. The airline is seeking total equity support of Rs42,920 crore over the next decade at a meeting with ministers today. The airline has also stated that its order for 787 is pivotal to the airline improving its aircraft utilisation and enhancing revenues in the next decade.
