GECAS AND CDB ORDER THE C919

The Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (Comac) has announced the order for 100 of its C919 aircraft from GECAS and China’s CDB Leasing and other Chinese airlines. The company stated that other buyers included China’s top three airlines, Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines, as well as HNA Group, parent of Hainan Airlines. Chinese built C919 has 168 seats and is pitted squarely against Boeing’s 737 and Airbus’s A320.
