Falko Regional Aircraft (Falko), an operating leasing and asset management company focused on the regional aircraft sector, has added 10 ATR 72-500 aircraft to its portfolio. The aircraft will be operated by PT Wings Abadi, the regional airline part of the Lion Air Group in Indonesia.

“We are delighted to have completed this deal which marks a significant expansion in our ATR manufactured turboprop portfolio” said Mark Hughes, Chief Commercial Officer, Falko Regional Aircraft Limited. “We are very pleased to add Lion to our lessee portfolio as Lion is one of Asia’s fastest growing airlines and one of the world’s largest ATR operators.”

“This deal is a meaningful development for Falko as a key player in the regional aircraft market as it substantially increases our turboprop portfolio and represents major expansion in Asia, a key growth market. We hope that we can further build on this success with Lion in 2018”

Edward Sirait, Chairman of Lion Group, said “We are glad to welcome our new lessor, Falko, an esteemed player in the regional aircraft market, to Lion Group’s panel of lessors. The group looks forward to partnering with Falko in carving-out a growth story in Asia Pacific.”
