CSeries lands onto the open sale-leaseback market

Latvian carrier, airBaltic, is offering six new Bombardier CS300 aircraft delivering from June this year for sale-leaseback, which will be the first time this aircraft type is listed on the open sale-leaseback market (see Europe, Finance News below). The expectation is for this aircraft type to receive an exceptionally high number of bids, likely at very low lease rate factors thanks to the continually hot market and the high demand for aircraft assets.

In our recently published, in-depth analysis of the leasing market, Navigating the Cycle, the The Aviation Industry Leaders Report 2018 produced in conjunction with KPMG, top leasing executives share their views on the over-heated sale-leaseback market and opine on what will happen in the inevitable shake-out during a downturn.
