Blue Panorama Airlines has terminated a wet-lease contract with Venezuelan carrier Conviasa after it failed to settle outstanding debts. The deal was cancelled on July 16th, resulting in over 200 passengers on Conviasa’s flight from Madrid  to Caracas being left stranded. A further 250 passengers on the following flight were also affected. As a result, Conviasa has indefinitely cancelled all services to Madrid and Buenos Aires pending a new ACMI operator, as its A340-200 is still stored at Bordeaux following unpaid maintenance work. Conviasa has attributed the delays in settling the outstanding debts to Venezuela’s National Centre for Foreign Trade
