AWAS in new deal with Aeromexico

AWAS has agreed with Aeromexico to place one new 737-800 passenger aircraft from its pipeline on long-term lease and also to purchase and then lease back (PLB) another 737-800 that the airline had previously ordered directly from the manufacturer.

Ricardo Sanchez Baker, Aeromexico’s CFO commented on the deal: “We are very pleased to work with AWAS again. They showed us their desire and flexibility to deliver for us with this one pipeline, and one PLB deal. Their team worked with us tirelessly to make this happen, and we look forward to many years of further growth together.”

Ray Sisson, President & CEO AWA, said: “AWAS is very proud to call Aeromexico a customer again. Their profitable growth and focus on customer service excellence has well-positioned them for future expansion and success.”

Marlin Dailey, AWAS’ Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Our team is extremely happy to be able to provide Aeromexico with a flexible and timely solution to meet their fleet modernisation and expansion timetable. AWAS’ ability to create customised fleet solutions for our customers is unmatched in the industry.”
