AWAS delivers on lease one 737-800 passenger aircraft to Sriwijaya Air

AWAS has delivered on lease one 737-800 passenger aircraft with Sriwijaya Air, a privately held scheduled service and charter airline serving Indonesia, Malaysia, China and the Philippines. This aircraft comes from AWAS’ existing portfolio.

Chandra Lie, CEO and President Director of Sriwijaya Air Group commented on the delivery, “Sriwijaya Air is most pleased to accept this modern and capable 737-800 aircraft which is part of our overall plan to modernise and grow our fleet to match the needs of our customers and the region.”

Marlin Dailey, Chief Commercial Officer AWAS remarked, “We are extremely pleased to welcome back Sriwijaya Air as an AWAS customer with the lease placement of this 737-800. The explosive growth in Southeast Asia and subsequent demand for cost-efficient air travel well positions Sriwijaya for continued success.”
