AWAS delivers first of three new A320s to ANA

AWAS has delivered on lease to ANA Holdings (ANAHD) the first of three new A320 aircraft from its order pipeline. ANAHD will use this new passenger aircraft to launch Vanilla Air, its low cost regional subsidiary which will be based in Narita and commence service with the following launch destinations: Naha (Okinawa), Sapporo, Seoul and Taipei.

Shinzo Shimizu, Senior Vice President, ANAHD, said: “This is a very important day for Vanilla Air, and ANAHD, as we accept the first new aircraft expressly for the launch of our new, low cost regional airline. We say that with Vanilla Air customers can ‘Make leisure time, valuable time’ and by that we mean we will deliver the high level of service, comfort and reliability that Japanese and other regional travellers expect. We would like to thank AWAS for helping us to quickly gain access to new order aircraft that met our specific needs for efficient performance as well as Vanilla Air’s customer comfort…we look forward to a long and profitable relationship with them.”

Ray Sisson, President & CEO AWAS, said: “AWAS is very pleased to welcome ANAHD as a new customer with the delivery of this first new aircraft for the Vanilla Air launch fleet.”
