AWAS delivers first of nine planned A320s to Thai Airways

AWAS has delivered on lease to Thai Airways, the first of nine new A320 aircraft from its order pipeline. Thai Airways will use this new passenger aircraft to expand their successful regional subsidiary, ThaiSmile, to current as well as new domestic and ASEAN, China and India destinations.

Sorajak Kasemsuvan, President of Thai Airways said, “This new aircraft from AWAS will assist us with our growth plan and help us to position ThaiSmile as a unique regional airline delivering the high standards and consistent service quality of Thai Airways International.”

Marlin Dailey, Chief Commercial Officer AWAS commented, “AWAS is extremely pleased to deliver our first aircraft to Thai Airways for ThaiSmile. Their network has successfully expanded as regional customers recognise the value of a product with the strong brand and service associated with Thai Airways.”

JT Foo, Vice President Sales AWAS AsiaPac commented, “Our entire AWAS team, from sales to technical management is very proud today to deliver this initial aircraft.
