AWAS agrees to the purchase and leaseback of two new A330-300s with PAL

AWAS has agreed to the purchase of two new A330-300 widebodies from Philippine Airlines (PAL) that the airline had previously ordered directly from the manufacturer and will form part of the flag carrier’s ongoing refleeting and network expansion program. As part of the agreement AWAS will then place both aircraft on long-term leases with PAL. The first of these two modern efficient twinjets has delivered.

PAL President Ramon S. Ang said, “We are extremely pleased to receive this initial A330-300 from AWAS, which is part of our large fleet modernisation order with Airbus. We are also very happy to grow our relationship with AWAS, who over the past two years has been instrumental in helping us meet our business objectives.”

Ray Sisson, President & CEO AWAS stated, “AWAS is proud to be able to expand our relationship with Philippine Airlines, to provide innovative and timely solutions that support the airline’s planned fleet upgrade. This is another strong example of how AWAS’ platform and people begin with relationships to deliver consistent value to our customer that result in meaningful growth.” PAL is one of the most respected airlines around the world with a modern fleet of aircraft and a route network that spans 34 foreign cities as well as 29 domestic points.
