AWAS acquires one A320 and one 737-800

AWAS has purchased two modern passenger aircraft from another lessor. An A320 is on lease to Volaris, the low cost carrier that has grown into the third largest airline in Mexico, and a 737-800 is on lease to Air Pacific, the national flag carrier of Fiji.

Marlin Dailey, Chief Commercial Officer AWAS, stated: “We are very proud today to welcome Volaris as a new customer, as well as welcoming back Air Pacific to AWAS. They are joining AWAS’ 90+ airline customers from over 40 countries around the globe.”

Carter White, Head of Trading AWAS, commented on the transaction: “We are very pleased to be able to finalise this acquisition which is part of our long-term strategy to utilise the secondary market as an active growth channel for our platform.”
