PIA’S FIVE YEAR PLAN UNDER REVIEW

Pakistan International Airlines owes Rs.1.11 trillion and only holds holding of Rs.16 billion in the form of assets, according to its managing director Ijaz Haroon. He presented the figures to the subordinate committee of the parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence as part of a meeting to review the five-year revival plan for the beleaguered airline.

Under the plan, PIA plans to purchase 16 new aircraft, which will help it to cutting operational expense as well as the repair and maintenance bill.
