MALAYSIA AIRLINES CHAIRMAN QUITS

Mohamed Munir Abdul Majid, chairman of Malaysia Airline, will leave the airline on July 31 when his contract expires as part of its restructuring process. No reason was given for his departure.

Bernard Francis, a senior general manager, quit the airline three weeks ago some five months before his contact was due to expire.

Malaysia Airlines posted a first quarter net loss due to rising fuel prices and a strengthening ringgit.
