Indian state-owned oil firms yesterday hiked jet fuel prices marginally by less than 1%, in sync with a rise in global rates. Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) rates were increased by Rs. 299 per kilo-litre to Rs. 42,235 per kl in Delhi, with effect from midnight last night. This increase is on top of a 3% increase in rates which came into effect on October 16. ATF, or jet fuel, will cost Rs. 43,553 per kl in Mumbai, home to the nation’s busiest airport, as against Rs. 43,242 per kl previously.
